How long will it take for my server to be setup?

INSTANTLY!. within 10 minutes of paying for your server you will recieve login details to your server control panel and your server will already be online with the default settings (all servers start in Demo mode untill changed by the owner). If you do not receive your Details within this time frame you should send an e-mail to: support@500servers.com with your signup information.

What Payment Methods do you accept ?

We can accept payments via PayPal or UK Bank Transfer only, Currently instant setup is only available via Paypal. Any other payment methods may or may not be acceptable. Please contact us at: admin@500servers.com before placing any orders if you wish to pay by any method other than PayPal.

Does LFS Lapper come already installed with my server?

LFS Lapper is an optional mod which can be installed at any time via the 500 Servers control panel.

What Hardware will my server run on?

All of our servers run from AMD Machines ranging from AMD™ 64bit X2 , Intel™ Xeon's and AMD™ Opteron machines with minimum 1gb ram and running Windows Server operating systems.

How many servers do you put on each machine?

We always keep reliability in mind when deciding how many servers we put on each machine. Because the hardware on each machine differs. So do the number of servers we can host on each machine. We always try to keep reliability the strong point and we will always aim to keep our machines operating with less than 40% CPU where possible and once we get to 40% CPU Usage we will stop adding servers to that machine. If any of the machines begin having their peak CPU Usage above 55% then we will transfer some servers to a new machine to reduce the CPU Usage once again.

Can I run insim applications on my server ?

Currently we will allow the install of LFS Lapper and Vcom on our servers, All other apps are still allowed as long as they run to the following guidelines:
1: Maximum CPU Usage must not exceed 5% of the total CPU Capacity at any time
2: There are no memory leaks and the memory usage remains less than 100mb at all times
3: The application does not contain anything which may breach copyright laws.

The application must be able to run from an executable (.exe) either with a config file or via a command line, and must not require a GUI. Most private insim apps will be within these limits and generally wotn be a problem, If you would like to host your insim application with 500 Servers please e-mail admin@500servers with the application attached in a zip file and a brief description of what it does and how to run it. The app will then be tested and a decision will be relayed back to you on wether it is acceptable or not.

How do I use admin commands?

First you must connect to the server using the Administrators password. Please download the "commands manual" from our download section for a more advanced explination.
